After trying to work on this with their technical support and not getting it resolved, the issue needs higher computer administrative rights than I have (they want access to the machine itself). Saad is currently on vacation, so it may take a while to get this fixed.
As an alternative, the PhD lab (for PhD students - 13th floor of the VC) has one computer with Datastream installed.
UPDATE: Datastream is working in the machine closest to the stairwell.
